Parent Support Group (PSG)

The Parent Support Group represents an active group of parent volunteers whose children attend QSI International School of Dushanbe.

The goal of PSG is to support and strengthen activities and programs related to the school throughout the school year.  The group meets on a monthly basis and is led by a chairperson. The group organizes events, engages in fundraising for various activities, and serves as a support network for new families.  See the PSG Mission and Objective Statement below.

PSG is only as strong as its membership numbers.  Please consider being a part of this vital group.

Section 1. Mission/Objectives. The QSI PSG is a resource for QSI’s growing community of parents, teachers and students, supporting the school to realize its potential.  The QSI PSG implements initiatives and raise funds to:

a. Enrich our children’s learning experience, particularly for students in the middle and secondary grades, creating opportunities to connect with peers in other local schools and countries.

b. Foster fun, creativity and enterprise across the school, building on the QSI ‘house’ system and celebration of international awareness days.

c. Connect QSI to its local community, supporting the school program to build social awareness and responsibility.

d. Upgrade QSI's child-friendly school campus, in partnership with the faculty and students.

Section 2. The purposes of the QSI PSG are promoted through advocacy, fundraising and educational programs directed toward parents, students, teachers, and the general public; developed through conferences, committees, projects, and programs; and governed and qualified by the basic policies set forth in Article III.
