Virtually every five-year-old comes to school eager to learn. The mission of QSI Bishkek is to keep this urge to learn alive in every child.

Preschool Program

Ages 2-3-4

The QSI Bishkek Preschool program is offered for children 2-3-4 years old. Children are placed in classes according to their age.

Welcome to QSIB Preschool!

We use an American curriculum that has specific outcomes.  Our program consists of teacher-directed play and practical, structured learning experiences through stories, music, art, and games.

Our preschool program allows students to participate in a variety of play-related and hands-on activities designed to develop learning readiness, physical coordination and development, and the social skills necessary to be successful in a classroom setting.  The preschool curriculum is a professionally-developed program that features a wealth of supplementary materials to support student growth.

Throughout the year we focus on developing the following:

Social Skills:  Getting along with peers, taking  “turns,” developing acceptable ways to negotiate needs, saying “please, thank you, and excuse me,”  developing a sense of humor, and lastly having fun with others

Gross Motor Skills:  Running, jumping, catching, throwing, climbing, balancing, and playing games

Fine Motor Skills:  Developing hand/eye coordination by using finger muscles, holding pencils and crayons, using small toys, cutting, playing with play dough, and painting

Listening Skills:  Listening to poems, songs, stories, reciting/chanting, taking part in copycat games

Language Development:  Extending vocabulary through reading stories to help students cope with everyday situations, reciting rhymes, and giving the children opportunities to explore and use English.

Pre-Math and Reading Skills:  Sorting toys by color, size, and shape; learning number songs and rhymes; learning words about time; antonyms and rhyming words; and discovering the world of books.

We look forward to working with your children!
