Students learned about the environment, nature, animals, and gardens through the construction of a BUG HABITAT. Our QSIS Preschool class has been busy preparing the "Bug Hotel". With Mr. Martin’s help and construction expertise, QSIS garden now has the insect habitat.

The habitat is used to attract beneficial insects and other creatures to our school garden, add to our garden biodiversity, and educate our students and teachers about insects and their habitats.

Preschool students planted flowers around the habitat, made “furniture” for insects, and painted a sign for the hotel. They are proud to say that they only used recycled, eco-friendly materials. Feel free to stop by and check it out, but keep in mind that it is still work in progress. The bug habitat is located on the east side of the school playground for all to view.
